Kia ora,

Today at Ohaeawai Primary School in Team Moana we have been learning how to use adjectives to describe a mood and atmosphere. Here is a picture of our tree house that my group made and the adjectives to describe the mood. Can you guess the mood and atmosphere?

Math problems

Kia ora,

We have been learning about how to use Compatible Numbers. Compatible Numbers are any two numbers which add together to make a Tidy Number
(a  number which ends in zero).  We had to choose two Compatible Numbers and another number. Then we had to think of a word problem which used our numbers and give the problem to a buddy to solve. Mrs Ogle, our maths facilitator, said this is called 'posing problems'. 43+7+54=104   Corrin had
43 toy cars and Mikayla had 54 toy cars and Mrs A had 7 toy cars. How many toy cars are there altogether?
43+7=50

50 +54=104

Ski trip

 Kia ora,

Last week we went on the ski trip. We got into groups and we each had one parent. I got to learn how to Ski. I learned this by listening to my ski teacher. I found going over the ramp hard. The learning behind the task is to listen to instructions and you might learn to ski. Here is my photo of me skiing.

Head Measuring

 Kia ora

This week we have been working on measurements. We had to measure our groups head and feet. The next day we had to make a graph and colour the boxs to the measurements of the number to see how big or groups head or feet is.
